Del Mar -- Always at the forefront of the latest trends, L'Auberge Del Mar's Living Room Bar has unveiled a new happy hour experience featuring unique tableside, hand-crafted cocktails by its expert team of mixologists.

Designed to provide guests with the ultimate in service and interactive fun, the distinctive draw of L'Happy Hour is the tableside hospitality offered to guests. Drinks are created and served from a custom-designed cart that mixologists pull right up to the guests' table. Patrons select from a creative cocktail menu, and then enjoy an introduction to the basics of cocktail mixing, garnishing and cocktail chemistry as drinks are mixed in front of their eyes.

"Our new happy hour is more than just a cocktail hour," said Francine Williams, director of marketing for L'Auberge Del Mar. "Our guests get a front row seat to the creative drink-making process, while enjoying the fun personalities of our mixologists and stylish ambience of the hotel."

The inspired cocktail menu includes a selection of house specialty drinks such as Spicy Watermelon Margarita with lime, agave nectar and jalapeno; Pear-Fect Martini with cinnamon, pear and lemon; and Summer in Paris with prosecco, muddled cucumber and gin. Sure to turn heads is the new $500 L'Bling Bling cocktail that is an opulent play on the classic Sidecar and consists of Louis XIII, Grand Marnier, Quintessence, Cristal Simple Syrup and Opus One bitters.

L'Happy Hour is offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the Living Room Bar. Specials include $8 hand-crafted cocktails, $2 off wine by the glass and half-price flatbread and cheese boards. Live music is featured on Wednesday and Thursdays and parking is complimentary for the first two hours.
